The new program is effective from May 1, 2024 and the procedures for submitting and paying applications have been simplified.
As the Joint Ministerial Decision specifically states: “The starting date for eligibility of expenditures for the purchase or lease of electricity is May 1, 2024. Applications under this Action are submitted until April 30, 2025, while the starting date for submitting applications will be announced via a posting on the Ministry’s website www.yme.gov.gr and on the program’s website https://kinoumeilektrika3.gov.gr.”
With a total budget of 33 million euros, the “I Drive Electric 3” program is launched, according to the Joint Ministerial Decision published in the Government Gazette, more specifically:
The subsidies for legal entities (for passenger and light trucks) amount to 30% up to €6,000
The program is valid for applications until 30/4/2025
The program concerns leases from 1/5/2024 onwards.
The previous application process, which included the stages of offer, affiliation, advance payment within 45 days and purchase within 8 months, is abolished. Now, everything will be done in one stage: the prospective subsidized customer will lease and register the vehicle and then submit a subsidy request with all the necessary supporting documents.
Each legal entity can submit up to 2 applications in the 3rd cycle.
The funds available for the cycle amount to 33 million euros, of which 20 million are intended for legal entities and 13 million for individuals. These amounts may increase with additional revenues from pollutant rights or the environmental fee.
